Blah, blah, blah...much of the same old crap... (02:00 AM EST)
Ok, so it's been awhile since I've posted anything here. For now, I'll just lie and say I've been busy.

Chris and I went on a bike ride today and when we got to the farthest point from the apartment that we were going to be, it started raining, which quickly turned into a downpour. We had to go through a construction site, which basically resulted in our bikes being covered in mud. I fell, got a bump on my arm, and provided entertainment for what was apparently about half the population of State College. All in good fun, I suppose, though my clothes have yet to dry, and we got back about 10 hours ago.

School's been going pretty typically, with not much of anything significant going on. I've got one test, one term paper, and a few essays to do, and my work for the semester will be over, which is an ending I'm looking forward to. My biobehavioral health class is basically done for the semester, thankfully.

I'm having some real problems figuring out what exactly I need to do to graduate, since one of the classes I need for my sociology minor is apparently not being offered anywhere around here at anytime in the next year. I sent an e-mail to one of the advisors of the sociology department, but have yet to receive a response, so I'll probably be stopping by the offices at some point tomorrow to attempt to figure out my choices in the matter. Things are looking pretty good, though, and I should be able to graduate next spring which is actually a semester earlier than I suspected.

I seem to be getting fewer and fewer hours at work, so it may be time to do some job-hunting this summer. Fortunately, one guy quit last night, so there may be some more hours to go around, though I'm not getting my hopes up. I guess time will tell, as it does with everything.

The odd conversations with people around me keep on occurring, with the one I had tonight providing even more things to think about, though I doubt I will reach any conclusions anytime soon, though it makes me wonder: How can such simple things intimidate me so much, while such complicated things are completely unthreatening? My thought process makes no sense at all.

Ok, now I'm just babbling. Or is it 'babeling'? (08:25 PM EST)
Well, the car's fixed again. Or, at least, it's inspected, which is about all I can hope for, I suppose. I still need struts the whole way around, but they can wait for awhile.

The semester is about 3/4 of the way complete, and I can't say that landmark has arrived any too soon. For the most part, I'm not really behind schedule on completing assignments, which is an odd position for me to be in at this point. I have two essays and a project I need to complete for Thursday, but at this point, I'm just figuring I'll do them tonight if I get bored enough. If not, they'll get done tomorrow. Or Thursday morning. Maybe.

There are days when I honestly think I could learn more in my classes if I didn't have to worry about what I was learning, and it always seems as if those times get more and more frequent as the semester wears on. I'd just like to be able to absorb what I can, rather than the few insignificant facts our professors want us to. I can't see how remembering what someone thinks is as important as understanding why they think it.

Today, on the way to class, one of the girls I had a couple of classes in high school with sat beside me and proceeded to have the crap scared out of her when I said "long way from Waynesboro, huh?" and she recognized me only by my voice. Talked for a few minutes about who was where, how school was going, etc. Kinda nice to reminisce with someone different for a few minutes. Ahh, the good old days.
